The Accessibility Working Group of SURJ@Sacred Heart invites you to join us for an anti-ableism workshop with Michele Mashburn of the San Jose Justice and Peace Center.
During this workshop, Michele will lead us through exercises that will allow us to examine our own internalized ableism, language choices, and identity. The goal of this workshop is to tie anti-ableism to our organizing work.
This is a 90-minute workshop on Zoom, with three ten-minute breaks built-in.

El grupo colectivo de accesibilidad le invita a unirse para un taller contra la discriminación contra las personas con discapacidades con Michele Mashburn del Centro de la Justicia y La Paz en San José.
Durante este taller, Michelle nos guiará en actividades que nos permiten evaluar nuestra propia discriminacion internalizada contra personas con discapacidades, elecciones de lenguaje e identidad. La meta de este taller es vincular la discriminacion contra personas con discapacidades con nuestro trabajo ya existente de organizar (“organizing” en inglés).
Este es un taller de 90 minutos por Zoom, con unos descansos de 10 minutos. Subtítulos estarán disponibles e interpretación al español estará disponible.
