San Jose commemoration of the historic August 29 1970, Chicano Moratorium March against the war in Viet Nam and for ChicanoMexicano self-determination
Join us at the Peace and Justice Center as we commemorate and remember the historic August 29, 1970 National Chicano Moratorium March against the war in Viet Nam and for Chicano Mexicano sel-determination. On August 29th, over 25, 000 Chicano MEXICANOS and allies marched in East Los Angeles to protest the U.S war in Viet Nam and for self-determination.
This assembly will feature the video "20 a~nos y que" produced by the Los Angeles based National Chicano Moratorium Committee in 1990 for the 20th anniversary of the 1970 March. WE will also have speakers discussing the significance of August 29 and the on-going struggle for self-determination.
Join us to commemorate the 1970 National Moratorium March and begin planning for San Jose participation in the upcoming 50th anniversary of the 1970 Moratorium March in Los Angeles in 2020
