Southbay Indigenous Solidarity Organizing Meeting

Aug 08 THURSDAY
07:00 pm - 08:30 pm

We are allies of Indigenous people. We are organizing to protect Juristac, sacred land of the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band.

Southbay Indigenous Solidarity is organizing to protect Juristac, a piece of land in Southern Santa Clara County that is sacred to the Indigenous people of this area. Juristac contains a critical Bay Area wildlife linkage corridor and a pristine water shed that is home to several endangered species. A debt acquisition company bought the land when it went into bankruptcy and wishes to sell it for as much profit as possible. Nature Conservancy has offered a fair market value for the land and will return it to the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band for stewardship. We are fighting to stop developers from ruining Juristac with a profitable quarry mine, and to return this land to the Native peoples who’s ancestors held ceremony here for thousands of years. Please join us to organize and protect Juristac!

There are stairs. There is street parking. We are meeting downstairs in the classrooms.
