MoveOn National Day of action for immigration justice

12:00 pm - 01:00 pm

URGENT RAPID RESPONSE called by MoveOn:Immigration Justice: Palo Alto corner El Camino & Embarcadero July 2nd, noon. Raging Grannies/WILPF co-sponsors

Peaceful, non-violent vigil/demonstration for justice at our border - for a humane treatment of asylum/sanctuary seekers and a just immigration policy to greet and process them. No separation of families; no criminalization of immigrants! We need "bridges" not walls, and peaceful protest for immigrants who are the victims of violence and injustice in their homelands.

TOMORROW, meet at noon at the corner of El Camino and Embarcadero in Palo Alto, just outside Town & Country Village. Please bring signs. Note: The management of the shopping center asks that we respect their private property at the corner, from the wall to the sidewalk just past the big lantern/lamp post. Please do not congregate in the "wedge" of their property at the corner - stay on the sidewalks at that corner, at all 4 corners, and do not block pedestrian access, do not stand on the dividers between lanes or step into the road. Be safe. This is not a replacement for our regular Fri. WILPF vigil, Jul. 5 demo, noon-1, same place.

Accessibility information has not been provided for this event.

Co-sponsored by Palo Alto Raging Grannies Action League and Peninsula/Palo Alto Women's Intl. League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF)
