WOULD YOU LIKE A NUCLEAR-FREE FUTURE? Public meeting WED. JULY 17, 7-9pm (Mitchell Park Library, Midtown Room, 3700 Middlefield Rd., Palo Alto), to engage with speakers from the national WILPF DISARM/End Wars committee, on tour in CA for a Nuclear-Free Future. Learn about (and sign!) the WILPF petition supporting the 2017 UN Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, signed by 122 nations (which when ratified by 50, will become international law); learn about Congressional resolutions to divert military spending to the Green New Deal and bill H.R.2419 (Nuclear Weapons Abolition & Economic & Energy Conversion Act).
