End the Forever + Everywhere Wars!

The extent and deadly consequences of the US “war on terror’ has been revealed in graphics and interactive maps published in USA Today. Based on data provided by The Costs of War project and the Defense Department, the maps show that the US conducted counter-terrorism operations in 85 countries just in the last three years.

George Bush declared the Global War on Terror in response to the September 11 attacks in 2001 that killed close to 3,000 people. The subsequent military operations (invasions, occupations, drone killings) have claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands of civilians and thousands of U.S. troops. In addition, more than 37 million people have been displaced or become refugees.

The total cost of the war on terror is $6.4 TRILLION! If you think those war dollars could be better spent on human needs, join us on the 18th anniversary of the illegal invasion of Iraq:
