The SCC Single Payer Health Care Coalition is a local grassroots organization with the mission to help build the movement for a universal guaranteed single-payer healthcare system or what is commonly known as “Expanded and Improved Medicare for All”. They have been advocating for such a health care for all system through public education and outreach since our inception 15 years ago.
They believe that healthcare is a human right, and that it should be provided to ALL, regardless of any life circumstances – “Everybody In, Nobody Out!”.
Their focus also includes health justice as we face increasing inequities that people of color in our communities experience in receiving adequate and quality health care. Their outreach has included organizing teach-ins and presentations for community groups, unions, college students in health policy classes, and high school students. They also regularly hold rallies and table at farmers markets and health fairs.
