Israel has escalated its murderous assault on Gaza by preparing to send in ground troops. At least 109 Palestinians, including 28 children have already been killed while Zionist extremists riot in the streets of Jerusalem, assaulting Palestinian residents and destroying Palestinian businesses.
As Tax Day (Monday, May 17 this year) draws near, we must remember that our government hands over $3.8 billion in military aid to Israel every year.
Events in solidarity with the Palestinian people coming up this weekend include:
Friday: Join the Friday Peace Vigil at 5pm at 4th and San Fernando. Plenty of signs available!
Friday: 6pm at Santana Row–Protest for Palestine, Resistance Until Liberation
Saturday: The 20th commemoration of Palestinian Cultural Day will be held at the County Building (70 W Hedding, San Jose) beginning at 11am. This community celebration honors the local Palestinian community and its contributions to the County’s civic life as well as the historical and cultural contributions of Palestinians.
