Less than one week since the most far-right, extremist government in Israel’s history was sworn in, the government’s brutality and ongoing ethnic cleansing of Palestinians has intensified at an even faster and terrifying pace. Over the last few days, the Israeli army has demolished over half a dozen homes and structures in Masafer Yatta and is threatening the escalated forced displacement of families.
For decades, Palestinians living in Masafer Yatta have had to live under the horrifying threat of home demolition and of being forcibly kicked off of their land by soldiers. Last year, the Israeli High Court made its final ruling on their case, approving the largest forcible transfer of Palestinians from their land since 1967.
