SJPJC named “Nonprofit of the Year” for Assembly District 27

Assemblyman Ash Kalra honored the San Jose Peace & Justice Center as “Nonprofit of the Year” for California Assembly District 27 at a ceremony at the state capitol on June 8. The ceremonial luncheon for nonprofits from 120 state assembly districts was put together by CalNonprofits (California Association of Nonprofits).

This is a recognition of the contributions and persistent work of hundreds of SJPJC members and activists over the 65 years since the Center was founded and in particular the 5.5 years of leadership by our former Director, Michele Mashburn.
