The Working Group will build a strong cohesive foundation that supports our diverse community. You will have a hand in the Peace Pantry Program and Community Garden.
The Peace Pantry program tackles the pervasive issue of food insecurity and its link to extractive capitalist structures in order to ensure universal access to healthy food through collective community care, education, and advocacy. You will get the wonderful opportunity to contribute to the following Peace Pantry initiatives:
- Food Drive for the pantry.
- Assist with stocking the pantry.
- Develop and implement new ideas to promote and advocate for FOOD SECURITY for all.
The Community Garden Team promotes a foodscaping environment that provides access to fruits and vegetables for all community members. You will have an exciting role in the Garden Team doing the following:
- Watering, replanting, & nourishing the garden.
- Work with a wonderful team, brainstorming ideas and growing the garden every Saturday from 10AM-12PM.
