Covid Update – Meetings at the Center (June 2021)

With the state relaxing the public COVID restrictions, a number of people are experiencing fear and anxiety about how the pandemic will play out. For everyone’s safety, we have decided to see how the summer plays out with the intention of opening the indoor space for meetings and events starting on September 1st. Until then, we are accepting submissions for outdoor meetings and events.

Honk & Wave for Health Care for All!

On Saturday, June 5th join the Santa Clara County Single Payer Health Care Coalition for a Honk & Wave event from 12 - 2PM! The Honk & Wave will take place at Willow Road & Newbridge Street in Menlo Park. There will also be a MINI FOOD DRIVE to benefit the SJPJC Peace Pantry - if you would like to donate, bring your non-perishable foods and canned goods to the Honk & Wave!

Event Recap: Keynote Address from Dr. Angela Davis 02/11/2021

On February 11, 2021, I had the privilege to attend a keynote speech delivered by Dr. Angela Davis, hosted by SJSU’s Human Rights Institute. Attending this event was surreal; I always regarded Angela Davis as a legendary figure. I had always seen her in documentaries, and she is cited as one of the major voices for progressive change. Seeing her speak “in person” over Zoom had me starstruck.
