These families continue to be impacted by the loss of their loved ones at the hands of police officers in San José. CAIR-SFBA calls on Commonwealth Club to cancel event with anti-Muslim and anti-Palestinian speakers

The San José Peace and Justice Center joins in solidarity with the San Francisco Bay Area chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations as they urge the Commonwealth Club to cancel an upcoming event featuring two speakers who both have "a shameful track record of propagating Islamophobia, which exacerbates ongoing intolerance and hate towards Muslims, immigrants, and others."

Support Youth with Disabilities at the October HSC Meeting

Please call or submit a comment to support the rights of youth with disabilities at the October 15, 2020 Human Services Commission (HSC) meeting at 6:15 pm via Zoom (details below). Last year, the HSC formed an ad-hoc to review the impact of law enforcement on youth with disabilities. The attached Draft report represents the summative assessment of the impact of law enforcement on youth with disabilities.
